Yes. So. This next one was a more recent film and I'm being recent like 2018  crazy Rich Asians. Fuck. Yeah. That's a rom com? Yeah, that's what they're listing it as. Yeah, it's definitely a rom com. It's actually not a bad movie. So yeah, that comes in at number six, Crazy Rich Asians.

Is Mr. and Mrs. Smith on this? Hold on. 100. I'm, I'm, I'm. It's not. 174 million at the box office  oh, great numbers. So let's look at the top five here. We already got Pretty Woman knocked out at number four. . What about number five? This, this one has Ben Stiller in it.

 Andrew and Kyle are now tied at two a piece going into the top three here  number three, here's your hint for this one.  Will Smith.  Hitch. Yeah Nailed it  Hitch made 179 at the box. And you know why he do you know why is because Will was in it Yeah, it was and because what was that? Oh three Yeah, that was, that was a long time ago.

I was still in grade school. Yeah.  But I remember it being a good movie. I don't know if it really is, but, , and number two, 2000. Mel Gibson,  what Women Want. Yep.  What was it? What Women, what Women Want.  I don't know if I like that one. A whole bunch. It's a little weird. Helen Hunt, you know, also in it. Mm-hmm

.  182 million. So there's not much separating them. Damn, 182 million for a rom com? Yeah, but again, like the top five  they're separated by six million a piece. Like it's Not, there's not  a huge gap. , and then number one, ,  It's about a wedding.  My big fat Greek wedding?

Fuck. Nailed it. Do you wanna, so now I want you to take That was a huge one. It made, that one made 210 million dollars. What do you think, Andrew?  I bet it was closer to 300, , like 2 75 maybe. It made 241 million for box office. Yeah, we split the difference. People love that movie. That was a very beloved movie.

 Like that is people, people adore it. I mean, it is a good movie. It's a funny movie. It's okay. I make lamb  . You're vegetarian. I make lamb. , I am. Yeah, that one set a lot of records too. So it is the number one highest grossing. Rom com of all time. So, and then that, and all the numbers I pulled to were just domestic.

I didn't pull their worldwide. , but just for fun fact here, big fat Greek wedding worldwide made 368 million.  Jesus Christ. Holy fuck. That's why nobody in that movie ever did anything again. They didn't have to. They didn't have to. Yeah, and if they signed the right contract, they were doing royalties. So, and I do want to take this time, what's your favorite rom com, Kyle? 

Probably forgetting Sarah Marshall. Yeah, That's a great one. It's such a good movie. It's underrated.  I'm still trying to get Erika to watch it because I think she'd really enjoy it but  it hits all the right notes and like the characters are real as fuck and there's some wonderful performances from ancillary characters like Paul Rudd And, Russell Brand, , Russell, that was one of Russell Brand's greatest performances ever.

Excuse me, Miss, I was, , didn't know if you'd find my, my flip flop. It's like, it's like a, it's like a mirror image of the other. It's like, it's, it's evil twins, so to speak. That was like a continuation of him from Get Him to the Greek. Like, it was that same character. No, no, Get Him to the Greek was, it was the other way around.

Yeah, Get Him to the Greek was the sequel. Came after, yeah. Was it actually? Yeah, it was, yeah. It was a spin off, , with him and Jonah Hill. Oh, shit, I did know that, yes. But his character in Get Him to the Greek, , I don't think he was as funny in Get Him to the Greek as he was. No, he was more jaded and more burnt out.

There were some fun, a lot of, I mean, Get Him to the Greek is a hilarious movie, but I think favorite rom com of all time is definitely Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Andrew, what about you? I really like Knocked Up. Knocked Up is a great movie. , but I also like the, like the, Is it the sequel or the yeah the sequel this is 40.

This is 40 is really good. I think it's hilarious It's paul rudd and amy. Is it amy man? Is that her? Is that her last name? I think so.   That one's great. There are some outtakes there with melissa mccarthy That will have you  rolling like some deleted scenes where she's in the principal's office talking about how she's gonna  Tie a cord or rope and take this student's father around town and drag him for the entire scene And then, you know, there was, there was a moment where like, it's a meeting between, you know, parents and the principal and, , the principal is like, I don't remember her, her, her character's name.

She's like, you, you can't say this shit. She's like, oh, shut the fuck up, Jill. You're ugly. That's why your husband died. He hated you.  So good. If you have a moment to look up those outtakes, , please do. Yeah, hilarious. All those are so good.   I do love Long Cane Pauly. Long Cane Pauly is a good one.

Long Cane Pauly I think is my favorite rom com. I think it's just so much fun. But I mean, forgetting to Sarah Marshall, if I had like a top three  it would be right there too. Yeah, I would have said forgetting Sarah Marshall, but I don't want to you know Be unoriginal here. So would you say I love you man is a rom com.

Oh, well, would you say it's a rom com? So I love you man. So kind I mean it kind of is it is a rom com. Yeah  I think you would have to because like it is about like a relation. It's just that kind of a different rom com But you know, we just hit on a lot of those movies are Judd Apatow movies Yeah, so Judd Apatow is the king of rom coms.

Yes. I mean super bad not a rom com, but   are you guys interested in the top 20 of these?

I know we went through the top 10, but if we're, we're picking here, 11 is as good as it gets at 148 million, , Bringing Down the House at 132. Bringing Down the House, was that the dancing movie? Steve Martin. Steve Martin, Queen Latifah.

Yeah, Bringing Down the House, Silver Linings Playbook, Coming to America, Sweet Home Alabama at 15. That is Reese Witherspoon and what's his name? That one guy. From,   Hospital Show. Yeah. Hospital. No, what's his name? Patrick Dempsey. Patrick Dempsey. No, it's not Patrick Dempsey. Yes, he is. It's not in that movie.

Oh, Mr. Deeds.  19, Something's Gotta Give. And number 20, 50 First Dates. Another Adam Sandler. So Adam Sandler is grounding out the back half of that one.

Yeah.  Oh, you know what is another great romantic comedy? Y'all ever heard of 50 50?  No. That's with Seth Rogen. That's with Joseph Gordon Levitt. Joseph Gordon Levitt. Yes, yes. And he gets cancer and his wife leaves him. So funny. And then he, then he finds another love. It's a darker romantic comedy, but it's definitely a romantic comedy.

You know what shocks me too, even looking at this list, Forgetting Sarah Marshall came in at 66. , top grossing. And they filmed all of that in Hawaii. They did. That budget was high. . I didn't think it did poorly, but it was definitely more raunchy. Love actually came in at 70.   So that's it. That's  our movies and our recommendations for this month of love.
